*About Residencies Program

The Townhouse Residency program aims to provide studio spaces for independent artistic research, experimentation and production. Providing ten studios for national and international artists, curators and writers pursuing independent projects.

Townhouse’s contact with its immediate surroundings fundamentally informs the residency program, with a lively working neighborhood filled with coffee shops, artisans, mechanics and more. While Townhouse’s facilities include 3 major exhibition halls, including a 600 square meter factory space, an arts library, archives of artists’ work, studio spaces, a multipurpose theater space and workshop rooms.

Townhouse Residency Program offers meetings with curators, interaction with the artistic community and arranges for an open studio day for the residence; the open studio will be held as a public event where artists / residents will be given the opportunity to interact with audience regarding their work/research. The residency projects are also promoted on Townhouse website and social media.

To help artist cover the costs of their stay, Townhouse offers signed letters of support for outside funding, as initiated by the artist, and can offer advice for any potential funders for assistance during the residency.

*عن برنامج الإقامة الفنية

يهدف برنامج الإقامات الفنية إلى توفير مساحات الإستوديو للفنانين\الباحثين المستقلين حيث تتيح لهم التفرغ للبحث, التجربة والإنتاج لعملهم الفني. يوفر التاون هاوس عشر استوديوهات للفنانين المحليين ومن خارج مصر, والكتاب الذين يعملون على مشاريعهم المستقلة

توفر مساحة التاون هاوس خصوصية للمقيمين من خلال موقعها في وسط مدينة القاهرة, حيث تعد منطقة حيوية لقربها من المساحات الفنية والمراكز الثقافية, كما تتميز بتوافر الخدمات المحيطة لتلبية احتياجات المقيمين. يحوي التاون هاوس على ۳ صالات عرض رئيسية;  مساحة المصنع,٦۰۰ متر مربع-, مكتبة فنية, أرشيف لأعمال الفنانين, مساحات الإستوديو, غرف للورش ومسرح متعدد الإستخدامات

يعمل برنامج الإقامات الفنية في التاون هاوس على تشبيك المقيمين مع المنسقين الفنيين, والتفاعل مع الوسط الفني\الثقافي, وتنسيق الاستوديو المفتوح; “الاستوديو المفتوح” هي فعالية عامة تتيح للفنان التفاعل مع الجمهور\الفنانين من خلال أعمالهم أو بحثهم الفني. يوفر التاون هاوس الدعم الفنانين من خلال برنامج الإقامات الفنية, كما يتيح للفنانين الترويج لأعمالهم من خلال منصات التواصل الرقمية

يوفر التاون هاوس للفنانين سبل المساعدة المختلفة خطابات دعم\توجيه خلال بحثهم عن فرص لدعم أعمالهم الفنية\إقامتهم الفنية
