Christ / Diving Deep & Surfacing: Women Writers on Spiritual Quest We are pleased to launch the Townhouse library programs with the artist and photojournalist, Heba Khalifa, in an intimate conversation about her latest projects «Handmade» Heba Khalifa is a multimedia artist, photojournalist and painter. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo with a bachelor’s degree in set design, she studied at the High Institute of Art Critics. She started using photography as an essential part of her artistic projects and interest in documenting and representing women and gender issues. Heba Khalifa is also a founding member of “Shouf”: A collective of 8 photojournalists who use photography as means of expressing ideas and principles of life. Join us on Monday, October 3rd at Townhouse Rawabet for a conversation, in Arabic, open to the public. Please note that the seating is limited. --- Townhouse Salon is a monthly series of conversations served over coffee in the Library. Each Salon is led by a moderator – a writer, an artist, an academic – who is invited to curate a topic and share relevant texts with the public, to be deliberated upon in our gatherings
